3 most valuable things I learned from my mother
Every child in this world would say that his/her mother is the world’s best lady and there is no doubt in this statement.
Every mother is special and my mother is one of them.
I have learned many important things from my parents. They taught me how to live happily, how to live happily even when there is a shortage of resources, how to find happiness in small things, and many more.
This article is specially dedicated to my mother who taught me the three most valuable things to lead a worthy life.
1. Faith in god
My mother believes that God is the supreme power and that’s true. From a tender age, she told me to be spiritual and have faith in god.
Although, I am not able to follow the path the way she told me. But many times God has given proof of his existence and this has resulted in firm belief.
2. Empathy
Empathy means putting yourself into the shoes of others. It is one of the best experiences anyone can have to feel the pain or emotions of others.
Having an empathetic feeling is not an easy task because every time you will focus on your inner self, instead of having a feeling of an inner self of someone else. I believe that one of the reasons is we are selfish.
My mother taught me that every living being is unique. The way we think of ourselves is completely different from the way others think of us. It is essential to realize the pain and grief faced by others.
3. Selflessness
From time to time, my mother set numerous examples of selflessness. One of them is when my mother decided to financially assist the milkman for his sick son when there was a money shortage due to covid recession.
Another example is when my mother decided to give a filled gas cylinder for cooking to one of my relatives when our gas cylinder was about to get empty. There are many similar examples.
Lastly, I would like to say that “my mother is one of the best things that happened to me”.
