How to lead a healthy and purposeful life?

Chris, a 27 years old doctor, was doing research on Alzheimer’s and similar diseases. During his research process, he had to see numerous pictures of patients experiencing similar diseases. He had to read medical journals and scholarly articles to know the conclusion drawn by the authors. This process continued for at least 3 years and he have to read and study the content related to the illnesses.

During his research and after looking at similar pictures repeatedly, the thought that came to his mind is that he is also getting sick. The more he read about and study illness, the more he felt sick.

As time passed, his desire to research was getting fainted and he started to lose interest. He was so scared of the illnesses which he decided not to attend to his patients.

The only thought that comes to his mind is that if he will meet or attend to his patients then he will also have to suffer from the same illness.

One day when he was sitting in his room at his home, various thoughts rushed through his mind. He started asking himself how he can need a purposeful life. He was a doctor and the primary duty of the doctor is to help their patients to recover from illnesses.

He realized that all the doctors in this world are helping their patients in one way or the other. Either they have to listen to their problems or they have to do a physical examination of the problem to refer the medication. In short, all the doctors have to go through a similar experience that Chris had.

After all the thought processes, he made a strong perception in his mind that he will not fall ill or have negative thoughts when he will see or consulted his patients.

From that moment, he decided to get back to his routine and do the research along with consulting patients.

Whenever he saw a critically ill patient, his mind generated signals of positivity. He started believing that he is healthy & free from any illness and that his patients will also recover soon.

His positivity had such a great impact on his life that he never felt like discontinuing his current profession once again. He visited the wards full of patients and assisted them twice a day.

He used to feel positivity and enthusiasm with made him ready to see more patients.

Optimistic thinking or positivity is the main factor that can help us to lead a purposeful life even after facing a lot of difficulties. This is the only way we can also stay motivated and lead a worthy life.
